The Steeplejack said there was still some insulation left inside. One of the workers suggested “lift it so the wind blows it towards Admin, and away from us!”. It went everywhere. The laundry, theatre, admin, stores, roofs, corridors and even reached The Cresent houses

Tom the Gardener shouted to the lady in waiting. She came over to him, and he explained that the patients were excluded. She in turn told the Princess, and she went over to talk to John.
Although in the hospital grounds, the patients were not allowed in. Some of them and the staff got in at the deep well fence to get a better view, including John, a patient who had picked a bunch of Bluebells for the Princess
After the helicopter landed, there was a long pause and no one got out. Then, a gloved hand put the royal pennon in a holder near the do, and out they all came…
